USDF Bronze & Silver Medallist
British Horse Society Assistant Instructor
American Riding Instructor Certified
Jennifer Jones has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver Medals as well as the renowned British Horse Society Assistant Instructor Certification (a year spent riding in England helped her to achieve certification). In addition to her instructor certification she is also certified with the American Riding Instructor Association. Jennifer has been riding horses all her life, beginning with hunter, jumpers, eventing and finally deciding to specialize in Dressage. The opportunity to work with all breeds has helped develop a training philosophy based on intuition and understanding of the horses’ individual requirements. All training programs for both horse and rider are designed to coordinate their own rate of learning with physical development. Believing that a rider needs a well-balanced seat to better communicate with the horse, she offers seat lessons on a safe well-schooled longing horse. This in coordination with either training and or lessons on the student’s own horse helps to develop a well-rounded program. Specializing in the starting of young horses and training through to FEI has given Jennifer the opportunity to develop trust and confidence in the horses she trains to be successful partners in the competition arena. This training and teaching philosophy has allowed Jennifer to achieve success in the competition arena for her herself, her horses, and her students in Regional and National competition. Continued education is vital in any trainers success, Jennifer regularly participates in clinics. Since 2002 Jennifer has been studying with well- known author and classical horseman Dr. Thomas Ritter. She has also ridden with Volker Brommann, Gerhard Politz, and Denny Callin to name a few.

Katherine Beard
Junior/Young Rider
Katherine Beard began her riding at the age of four while living with her parents in Weybridge, England. She started riding at Lower Cobham Stables on a pony named “Twinkles”. After moving back to the States to Texas she had the opportunity, while growing up, to ride bareback all summer in the Texas hillside and developed into a well balanced rider. As a young teen she began to formally study with Jennifer. She has had the opportunity to assist with the development of many young horses still with Half Pass Training Center today. Her first star mount was Big D Cross My Heart (a Morgan mare), who came to Jennifer as an un-broke three-year-old. Katherine was involved with the training process from the start. A relationship developed with Big D Cross My Heart (Dee Dee). Katherine and Dee Dee went on to many wins and championships as well as a placing at the Regional Championships! Dee Dee was sadly outgrown, but has gone on to another young student at Half Pass Training Center! Other horses that Katherine has assisted in starting are Warner D (a Friesian gelding started at 4 years of age), Rembrandt (a Hessen gelding started at 3), Captain Crunch (a draft cross started at 3), Reggae (a Danish gelding started at three), Touchdown (a Danish gelding started at two). Her new star mount, is Gauke fan Blauhus, a Friesian gelding. Gauke was imported as a five –year- old in February 2007. In the limited showing in 2007, Katie and Gauke won a Reserve Champion placing with the USDF All-Breeds, and to place in the Region Nine Championships along with numerous other championships and placing throughout their first year together. Katherine has also studied under Dr. Thomas Ritter, Volker Braummen and Gerhard Politz. In the fall of 2008 she will attend North Central Texas College and begin working toward her degree in Equine Science. Attending NCTC will enable her to stay close to home and assist Jennifer and the horses and clients of Half Pass Training Center.
