Amber Fuller - Assistant Trainer   As a very young child Amber was placed on a large bay mare by her mother's best friend and the desire to be with horses has been growing ever since. Her early years were spent in Saudi Arabia where she rode any horse she could get her hands on!  After moving back to her home country of Canada, at the age of ten, Amber began taking formal Dressage lessons at Bear Hill Farm, a Trakehner breeding farm in Victoria, British Columbia. Through high school, she continued her education at Queen Margaret's School (QMS), an equestrian based boarding school. The goal of the QMS equestrian program is to produce knowledgeable, skilled, responsible, members of the equestrian community. Amber was trained in Hunter, Jumper, Equitation, Dressage and Eventing, providing her a sound foundation for all disciplines. After graduating this program Amber is exceptionally well educated in various disciplines and in stable management. In 2001 Amber moved to Texas and chose to specialize in Dressage. She began training and showing Northern Beacon (”North”), a Standard bred gelding that she had rescued from the track as a four year old. Amber has shown "North" from Training through Third levels earning local year-end awards and scores up to 70%. North's last show at Third level was in April of 2011 and since he is now eighteen he is enjoying his well-earned retirement.  Amber's up and coming horse, Feliz, is an eight year old Trakehner mare that was bought as a weanling. In 2008 Feliz was the Dallas Dressage Club Training Level Open Champion for recognized shows and placed sixth in the nation in the USDF All-Breeds awards for Trakehners at Training Level. In 2011 Amber and Feliz showed at First and Second levels and earned qualifying scores for the Region 9 championships. Amber has also been paramount in the starting and training of many Trakehner horses bred by Whitehorse Farms, many of which have gone on to do very well in the show ring.  She regularly attends clinics with such riders as Gerhard Politz, Jane Savoie and Heather Blitz while continuing to study the art of classical Dressage under Jennifer Jones-Cavness. © Half Pass Training Center 2011 Design by Holme Ranch Productions (Info@HolmeRanch.com) Home Trainers News Facilities Services Videos Photos Contact
